Locating Workshop
MMUA is pleased to offer this new hands-on technical training opportunity for 2024. Locating is an essential skill that municipal workers from all utilities are often responsible for or may be called upon to do. Manufacturer representatives will be on hand with their equipment for participants to work with including: 3M (Dynatel), Locators and Supplies (Rycom and Vivax), Subsurface Solutions (Radiodetection).
This workshop can benefit individuals from any utility department--electric, water, wastewater, natural gas, and cable.

This training takes place indoors and outdoors. Please come prepared with the appropriate clothing. footwear, and personal protective equipment including:
- High visibility clothing/outwerwear--appropriate for the weather
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses
- Leather work gloves
- High voltage rubber gloves (if available)
- Work boots
Attendees earn a certificate of achievement for their participation. Watch for an email notification from MMUA with the certificate, upon completion of the course.
Members: $380 per person
Non-Members: $510 per person
Registration fee includes workshop tuition, materials, Wednesday lunch, refreshment breaks and a certificate of achievement.

- Registration fees increase $50 on April 15.
- Deadline to register is April 25.
Cancellations are subject to a $50 cancellation fee per person if received by 4:30 pm on April 25, 2024. Refunds issued to a credit card will be subject to an additional 3% fee.
No refunds issued after April 25.
