Temporary Electrical Ground-worker
The Moose Lake Water & Light Commission DBA Moose Lake Power is seeking an individual for a 1,000 hour temporary electrical ground-worker. This position is for our 2025 summer and fall construction and maintenance season. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited power line worker school program and have a working knowledge of the Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA).
Duties:
- Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
- Safely assist crews in the installation and maintenance of distribution lines.
- Ability to do heavy manual labor, including operating shovels, jackhammers, manually pulling wire.
- Work well with utility employees, customers and the public.
- Adhere to all utility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, etc.
- Regularly required to lift over 50 lbs. safely.
The compensation rate for this position is set at $31.91 per hour. Application deadline is April 18 with the position starting in May.
