Temporary Electrical Ground-worker

The Moose Lake Water & Light Commission DBA Moose Lake Power is seeking an individual for a 1,000 hour temporary electrical ground-worker. This position is for our 2025 summer and fall construction and maintenance season. Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited power line worker school program and have a working knowledge of the Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA). 

Duties:

1. Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
2. Safely assist crews in the installation and maintenance of distribution lines.
3. Ability to do heavy manual labor, including operating shovels, jackhammers, manually pulling wire.
4. Work well with utility employees, customers and the public.
5. Adhere to all utility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
6. Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
7. Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, etc.
8. Regularly required to lift over 50 lbs. safely.

The compensation rate for this position is set at $31.91 per hour.  Application deadline is April 18 with the position starting in May.
