The US Department of Energy's Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations has issued a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for grants available to community-owned municipal utilities and cooperatives. A total of $400 million will be available, with individual project grants falling between $2 million and $50 million to be awarded. The program requires a cost share of between 5 percent and 50 percent from non-Federal funds, depending on applicant type and topic area. Concept papers are due February 27, 2025 with applications due August 28, 2025.

MMUA will again provide members with assistance in preparing their grant requests by hosting informational webinars, providing guidance on grant completion, and making team members available for consultation.

We will hold an informational webinar on Tuesday, October 22 from 1:00–2:00 pm. Contact Karleen Kos or Blaine Chaulklin for more information. Registration is required for the meeting, and Zoom access information will be provided with your registration confirmation.
