Position: Electrical Distribution Engineer

Pay Range: $97,704 - $139,578 annually
Please note: Actual starting pay will be determined at the time of offer based on the experience, education and training of the successful candidate.
Electrical Distribution Engineer Description
Austin Utilities is seeking a talented and self-driven individual to join our Utility Operations team. As a member of the engineering staff, you will be responsible for the preparation of engineering plans, provide project management and communications for the electric, gas, and water transmission and distribution projects, as well as helping to establish department standards, procedures, and strategic directives. Ability to maintain personal and professional integrity at all times, consistent with our mission and values.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Oversees the preparation of all engineering project plans, including drawings, specifications, and material invoicing;
•
Develops specifications and project planning for electrical and communications utilities;
•
Provides technical support to utility staff and coordinates operation staff on system operations.

What will it take to be successful?

Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering;
•
Zero (0) to two (2) years of engineering experience;
•
Valid Minnesota Driver’s license.
