Firefighter

The City of Fairmont is looking for individuals who want to serve their community by responding to fire, rescue, and other emergency incidents as a paid-on-call Firefighter. Applicants must meet these minimum requirements: be at least 18 years old; possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent; possess (or be able to obtain by time of hire) a valid Minnesota Driver’s License; reside within eight (8) minutes of the Fairmont Fire Station; be able to speak, read, and write in English; and be able to pass the written and physical agility tests, criminal background check, drug screening, and medical evaluation. Interested individuals must also be available for testing dates.
