 LOVE working with computers – we have the job for you: Under the general supervision of the City Administrator, the Information Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, systems, and all IT services for the city. This role ensures the effective implementation and maintenance of IT solutions to support municipal operations, improve public services, and safeguard digital assets, while providing a blend of effective leadership and hands-on technical work within the IT Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BS/BA degree in Information System or Technology or related field; Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an IT Department; Minimum two (2) years of experience managing an IT Department; Experience with installation, configuration, management and use of servers; Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity and enterprise systems; Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to collaborate across departments; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and other applications; Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data protection laws; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials and the public/residents; Valid Driver’s License.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Information System or Technology or a related field; Five (5) years or more of experience in the overall management of an IT department; Government/City IT experience; Experience with municipal IT infrastructure and services; One (1) year or more experience in website management; Proficiency in the latest technology for IT systems and management, Microsoft operating systems and other applications; Demonstrated ability to speak conversational Spanish and/or Somali.
